Babushkas for Ruby

My niece Ruby turned 7 on Tuesday (Hmmm - Ruby/Tuesday, never mind). One of her favourite things at the moment is Babushka Dolls. So, as a good sewing Aunty, I whipped her up some of these sweeties to add to her collection.

I made 2 more Pleated Beauty bags, the 1st photo is another work sample (which will go home with Yvonne - who had a birthday on Friday) and the 2nd photo is one I made as a door prize for a function I went to today - it nearly didn't make it out my door! I am so glad I have more of this fabric :)

I caught up with Lisa on Wednesday, for lunch at Waldecks and another fabric swap :) She gave me a gorgeous prezzie to take away with me on my holiday to the Eastern States (I fly out to Sydney this Thursday - Yay). It's a Scrappy Loyalty Card Wallet, you can download the tutorial through her blog - Thank you Lisa.

4 more sleeps till my fantastic voyage - I can't wait! I will be going to the Colour Women's Conference in Sydney, then flying down to Melbourne to catch up with my Sewing Sisters Kylie and Katherine. I even get to be with Katherine on her Birthday. My daughter Rachel asked me 'What are you going to bring us back from your holiday?" and my DH piped up with "Krispy Kreme Donuts" - (we don't have them in WA).

With Love

You have been busy since our catch up Janelle! Love your latest bags - especially the one using the Anna Maria Horner fabric - it is one of my faves also! I am sure your niece loved her Babushka's - so sweet. Have a great trip.

How great it'd be to be able to just sew up a gift.
And those dolls look great!
Enjoy your tripping around the countryside:)
