Bag making lessons & samples

My friend TJ (aka Traceylea) has been coming over on Fridays for Bag making & sewing lessons. TJ & her family are heading over to the UK in May, for her DH's work - they will be gone for a year+ (sniff, sniff). She is planning to take 2 important pieces of machinery with her - her pink Kitchenmaid mixer and her Sewing Machine (of course). This Fridays lesson was the PVC covered bag.

I made one too, as a sample for work using some of the new fabrics in store.

I made another sample bag using the Amy Butler fabric - can you guess what pattern I used?

Yes, another Pleated Beauty Bag, this one has longer handles so it can be worn on the shoulder or across the body. See, I do make things with the fabric I buy - eventually :)

Wonderful looking bags!

Janelle, is the fabric coated with PVC, or do you sew clear PVC onto the fabric?

WOW, the bag made from the Amy Butler range is gorgoeus. I think you are going to have to teach me how to make that one. Your PVC bag turned out a treat. Mine looks good too lol.
You are the best teacher.
Luv ya:)

Other comments have the same thoughts as me. The pleated bag is different and I like the way you have used the different materials .
