Midwest Modern in the West

IM000356

I had the Joy of sorting through the new shipment of craft fabrics that arrived at the Textile Traders warehouse in Osborne Park last Wednesday. These gorgeous fabrics are from the Midwest Modern range by Amy Butler - I bought half a metre of each :) I know Lisa has gone out and bought these too.

I sent Ric Rac (aka Jodie Carlton) some selvedges for her fabulous creations, and I received a lovely thank you card and a 'Team Selvedge' magnet - which will take pride & place on my fridge next to my Kath and Kim magnetic dress up dolls & the various photos. If you are not familiar with her work, go take a look at her blog (especially to see her new upholstered chair). My favourite piece of selvedge art is the frock.

I came across my 2 cherubs reading together on DS's bed. I stood and watched them for a good 10 minutes before they noticed me. The harmony I witnessed was so good for my spirit :)

Ok back to it, I have fabric to post off to Bronwyn at Whippet Good (some for her, and some for her to take to the Bushfires Quilting Bee being organised by Jan from Sewjourn) and I have my Spring Swap goodies to finish - they are all cut out ready for sewing!

With Love

Did you ever bring back precious memories with your photo and comments about the cherubs reading together. I so enjoyed those days at my house - thank you for noting that you took 10 minutes to enjoy the peace and bonding.

The new line of fabrics is very soothing in its colour palette. I wonder what you will make with that?

Love the Amy Butler Janelle! This Textile Traders seems quite cheap, I see they have mail order on the website but I can't find any specific products or prices.....
How much are the Amy Butler fabrics? I know you've featured some quite cheap fabrics before.
