2009 is Finally Here!

Happy New Year Everyone, from both Kylie & Janelle, may 2009 be a blessed year for us all!

The family & I (Janelle) went to Cuballing to see in the New Year with our friends the D'Altons and the Jennings families. The kids all swam in the D'Altons new pool, & the men BBQ'd whilst the ladies watched the Edinburgh Tattoo. The best part of the evening was when Monique's Dad, Rick McDougall, Piped in the New Year!

Monique and John converted this Railway carriage to make it into a guest retreat (& studio for Monique) - complete with Air-conditioning too. Thanks precious friends for a wonderful stay.

I have just noticed that we have clicked over the 10,000 number for blog visits - Wow, how exciting. I think we need a giveaway to celebrate, stay tuned...

Happy New Year, Ladies! I just wanted to give you a quick update - I'll do a blog post about it this weekend - but I got my bag and the goodies! Thank you so much - the bag is perfect! We had so much fun with the Australian treats that I want to send some American treats for you to try - but I need to know what you don't have.

So, how about if I e-mail a list of American goodies (some national, some regional) and you tell me which ones you can get and which you have never heard of, okay? Also, if there's anything you'd really like to try, I could include it.

By the way, the verification word is "mantraps" and I'm not sure what to make of that! :)

Happy New Year Janelle and Terri. I hope 2009 fulfills all your hopes and goals for the year ahead. I am busily setting mine and I think you know Janelle what is at the top of mine...Finish that table runner. You will be happy to know it is currently going through the machine. Thanks for making your blog a wonderful inspiration to me in 08 and I excitingly look forward to hearing more of what you're up to in the coming year. Hugs 2 U Both. D. :=)
P.S. Loved your temporary abode. I'd love to do up some old railway carriages as guest rooms.

Wow! 10,000 blog visits! That's amazing! I don't think I hit that in a year. haha...Great job! The railway car is amazing. From the outside, I was a little bit afraid to see the inside. But I was pleasantly surprised - the inside is gorgeous! What a cool place.
