If you are familiar with this blog, you will know that I have quite a soft spot for Babushka/Matryoshka dolls. Well, this was also reflected in some of the birthday presents I received recently :)

I have just sewn the binding onto Rachel’s Gelati quilt. I am taking it to Parkerville Baptist Craft Group’s ‘Friendship Day’ tomorrow to do the hand stitching. I will be thankful to have the quilt on my lap to keep me cozy.

those measuring cups are the best, I have a set and not only are they cute to look at but if you use one you don't have to wash the whole lot - unlike those other cups which are linked together.

Sounds like you had a great birthday. I love the babushka collection that you got and the only item you are missing is the matching babushka tea towel to the apron.
What a lovely lot of Babushka's you received for your birthday.I think a applique Babushka on the front of the bag pattern you're giving away would add some zing to it...what do you think? I love Babushkas,I have a quilt I need to start real soon with applique Babushka's on some of the blocks :) Barb.
